Harold B. Hemingway, Jr.

Harold B. Hemingway, Jr. of New York and formerly of Myrtle Beach, passed away on March 5, 2024, in New York. 

Mr. Harold B. Hemingway, Jr. was born on October 7, I955 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the late Connie Hemingway and the late Harold B. Hemingway. Sr. He departed this life on March 5, 2024 in Bronx, New York.

He attended Horry County Public Schools where he was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Harold B. Hemingway, Sr.; a sister, Patricia Ann Hemingway; a brother, James L. Hemingway; four aunts, Mae Chestnut, Elouise Chestnut, Annie B. Hemingway, and Gennie V. Cox and one uncle, Emmanuel Chestnut.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of his brothers, Garreth (Kimberly) Hemingway and Dominic (Rochelle) Hemingway; a nephew, Germaine Ruffin and a host of other relatives and friends.

As I wake in the morning still a Lil sleepy slightly yawning,
Scratching my back wondering what will I get into today?
It's going to be a good day; I didn't know it...
but that's what I'd say
Ripping and running... trying to stay peaceful never Gun'n
That was the way of my life
never really settling down
Never to take a wife.
Though the list was short to a few
My love did run deep, namely for two.
With God's permission
I will look in on them from time to time...
cause they were
Down with me and for me each and every time.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel on Saturday, March 23, 2024. There will be a viewing from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
