On August 24, 1966, the Lord blessed Harry and Luenette Grissett with a baby born at the Grand Strand Medical Center. They named him Harry Gean Grissett who would grow up to be an industrious man.
He was educated in the public schools of Horry County, graduating from Myrtle Beach High School.
As a young man, he united with the Mount Calvary Church under Pastor Amanda Grissett, who was his grandmother.
Over thirty-five years ago, Harry met and married Virginia Warren. As husband and wife, God blessed them with a daughter, Melanie. He fathered a son Antonio Warren of Orlando. Their love for children caused them to raise a goddaughter, KeyonnaJohnson.
As stated earlier, Harry grew to be an industrious man who started and owned his own painting business. He remained in business successfully for over twenty five (25) years.
On Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, God called Harry from labor to reward. He leaves behind his loving wife, Virginia; his son, Antonio (Shalonda) Warren; his daughter, Melanie Grissett of Myrtle Beach; a goddaughter, Keyonna Johnson; a brother, James Campbell, and a brother-in-law James (Margaret) Warren; four (4) grandchildren, Adonis Warren, Anayla Warren, Cam'ron Grissett, and Amelia Johnson, very special friends Mike Brown and Harold Floyd and a host of other relatives and friends.
Harry Gean Grissett of Conway passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Conway Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2022, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2022, at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church Burial will be at Pine Island Community Cemetery.
