Alfred Scott

Mr. Alfred Scott, Sr. was born on August 9, I952 to the late David Scott, Jr. and Charlie Mae Alston in Conway, South Carolina. He departed this life on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

He attended the public schools of Horry County and upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he worked until retirement in I993. After retirement, he worked as a private contractor as a painter.

Alfred was preceded in death by one brother, Randolph Scott, one sister, Joyce Holmes, and one beloved grandson, Demarris Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of SI years, Juanita Scott; three sons, Ronald (Latongia) Scott, Alfred (Dawn) Scott, Jr. both of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Terry Wilson of Conway, South Carolina; four daughters, Mary Holmes, Darlene Sessions, Onitra Scott and Conswella Brown all of Conway, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandsons, two brothers, David Scott, III and Timothy (Sylvia) Holmes; four sisters, Ann (Lacy) Graves, Inez Holmes, Rebecca Holmes and Blanche Holmes all of Conway, South Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
