Annie Joe Green Obituary

Annie Green of Myrtle Beach passed May 15, 2020. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Ocean Woods Cemetery, Myrtle Beach.

On the morning of May 15, 2020 our mother, Annie Joe Green, left her earthly home for her heavenly home. Annie Joe Eaddy Green was born to the late James and Olive Eaddy on April 1, 1918 in Lake City, South Carolina.  She was the fifth child of seven children, who have all preceded her in death.  Annie Joe’s South Carolina journey eventually led her to Myrtle Beach, South Caroline where she married Ervin Green.

While living in Myrtle Beach, Annie Joe found her church home, Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. While remaining an active faithful member of Sandy Grove for more than fifty years, she was part of Choir #3 and Senior Missionaries. Annie’s Joe’s participation in her church home added to her treasured role in the local community.

Annie Joe Green was known and loved by many. Throughout her years of working in the community she was known for having a strong work ethic that was recognized by all who interacted with her. Her work routine did not hinder her passion for cooking delicious dishes. Those who tasted her food received a taste of her soul. Annie Joe’s pound cakes, sweet potato pies, and macaroni and cheese always made everyone’s heart sing with every bite.

On May 15, 2020 God said well done and called Annie Joe home. Although she is no longer on this earth her infectious smile, kind spirit, and love for all she knew will carry her spirit with all of us always. Whenever we need an uplifting it is the memory of her laughs and numerous jokes that will make a smile and bring joy to our hearts.

Annie Joe Green was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Green, and two sons, Donald and Ronald. Her remaining children, Margaret, Ervin, and Arnetta (Ann) will keep her memory alive along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mother, Grandmother, we will now say goodbye until we see each other again. We will continue to love and miss you always. Rest in peace in His loving arms.
