Armenia Buck Obituary

Mrs. Armenia Livingston-Buck was born on December 10, 1937, in the Popular Community of Longs, South Carolina to Mary Vaught-Livingston and Collins Livingston. She was the 22nd child of her family. She departed her earthly life on July 1, 2025, at her home among her loving family.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and friend, and joined Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her departure from this life. Through the years she worked on several ministries to include President of the Ushers Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Culinary Ministry, and the Willing Workers Choir. Throughout her life, she was affectionately known as a prayer warrior as she was always praising God wherever she was while working in the fields, doing chores at home or on her job. She was taught at a young age to pray on her knees; anytime or anywhere she prayed she did it on her knees until her final days. She loved to sing gospel songs with her favorite being “Anywhere you blessed me Lord”.

She was married to Mr. Francis Buck and they were the proud parents of two sons, James Millon Livingston and Connie L. Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, grandson, and 20 siblings.

She was a caregiver to everyone in her neighborhood. God blessed her with the gift of Healing Hands. When someone in the neighborhood was sick or got burned, she came and prayed for them while rubbing and massaging their injury and pain.

Armenia always took great pride in her appearance ensuring that her attire was clean, matching and appropriate for the occasion.

She was employed with Horry County Schoos and did Home Care for many years.

Mrs. Buck’s legacy of memories will be cherished by her son, Connie L. (Gail) Livingston of Pawleys Island, SC; grandchildren, Rita and Kieasha Livingston, Dedrick Wilson of Pawleys Island, SC, Posha Sherman of Conway, SC, Curtis (Kendra) Breckenridge of Kansas City, Missouri, Lamar Livingston of New Jersey, Janell Cox (James Herring) of Hickory, NC, Ashely (Shelbie) Livingston of New Orleans, LA, and Joseph Keel of Longs, SC; a host of great-grands and great-great grands; daughter-in-law, Gail W. Livingston; one sister, Ina M. Livingston of Longs, SC; sister-in-law, Sevial Goings of Longs, SC; brother-in-law, Donald (Alizzle) Gagum of West Palm Bay, Fl., and Nat (Wilma) Gagum of Conway, SC; special friend, Mrs. Fennie Livingston; all of her nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends were very special to her.
