Arthur Bellamy, Jr. of Bucksport passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. 

Arthur Bellamy Jr was born on November 24, 1948, in Bucksport SC, to the marital union of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Bellamy. He was the 2nd born of 8 children.

Arthur attended the Horry County School system in South Carolina. At the age of 20, he moved to Newark, NJ where he resided for over 30 years

While living in New Jersey, Arthur became an entrepreneur and owned his own driving school, which was one of his passions. He later moved back to SC, where he worked as a security guard and custodian, then later retired. Arthur's other passion was the Bible. He would make it known that he was not a preacher but he loved talking and teaching about the Bible.

Arthur leaves to cherish his loving and lasting memories; two daughters; Dance and Canine Barner both of Ashley PA, one son; Leroy Barner of Newark NJ, one brother; Leveme Bellamy (Lorraine) of Conway SC, three sisters; Bertha Wright of Middletown CT; Dorothy McCray and Letha Graham both of Conway SC; 14 grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Oscar Bellamy, mother Netha Bellamy, two sister's Albertha Bellamy and Victoria Huggins, one brother Eddie Lee Bellamy, three brother-in-laws, Ronnie Greene, Raymond Wright and Gregory McCray, and one grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Bucksport Community Cemetery.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
