Bettie Keels of Murrells Inlet passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Mrs. Bettie Keels, the daughter of the late Matthew Keels and Julia Keels and wife of Joseph Keels, was born September 12, 1939, in Greenville, SC. She departed this earthly life on June 17, 2026.
She attended Greely High School in Greeleyville, SC.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Keels; her father, Matthew Keels; her brother, James Keels; her sister, Cgraann Keels; and her great-great-grandson, Bishop Davis.
She leaves her life memories to her daughter, Paula Keels; two sons, Paul Keels and Eric Keels; grandchildren, Lakeisha Thomas (Oneil), Paul Keels, II (Belinda), Jarell Sands, Rachael Keels, Edwin C Mitchell, Ill (Kristina), Nicholas Keels and Natasha Jones; great grandchildren, Serenity Vereen, Elijah Davis, Elisha Davis, Trinity Davis, Zuir Keels, kelp Sands, Jarell Sands Jr., Karson Sands, Ezra Sands, Gianna Sands, Kyle Fuller, Kourtney Fuller, Lauryn Mitchell, Zoe Mitchell, Dejah Johnson, Serraia Goodman, Kaiden Barker, Kiyan Barker; her siblings, Julia ( Judy) Williams, Matthew Keels, Jr, Ruth Keels, George Keels, Winnie Keels, Irene Gooden, Shirley Keels, Carolina Walters; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.
