Betty Simmons

Mrs. Betty Simmons was born on November 24, 1960, in Conway, South Carolina to the late James and Essie Lisbon. She joined our heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Mrs. Simmons attended Horry County Public Schools. During her adulthood, she was employed at AVX Corporation.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Walter Simmons.

Her life dedication and tireless efforts were outstanding. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. The memories of her will always be dear to our hearts. We love her and will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by one sister, Gail Ann Powell; two brothers, Charles Alston and George Johnson; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Johnson.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories three daughters, Ticy Powell, Candice Simmons, and Vanity Simmons all of Conway, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Dyverse Simmons, Justice Simmons, Pharrell Simmons, Joshea White, Natalia Simmons, Marlie Prawl, Bella Simmons, Brandon Prawl, Banks Simmons, and Chozyn Simmons; one great-grandson, Hyndrxx Simmons; one sister, Barbara Long of Conway, South Carolina; five brothers, Jesse (Jacqueline) Deberry of Elgin, South Carolina, David Deberry of Conway, South Carolina, Tyrone (Teresa) Lisbon of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cleveland Powell (Ivey) of Conway, South Carolina and Frederick Powell of Missouri; two close friends, Bobby McCray and Johnny McCray along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Mason Temple Church of God in Christ in Conway.  Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
