Bonita Pickett was born on November 22, 1956, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to the late Leonard Lee Godbolt and Lillian Julia Pickett. Bonita was called from labor to rest on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
She attended the public schools of Harlem, New York, and was a domesticated worker, taking pride in everything she did. She was a member of the House of Faith Church. Bonita loved to dance and have fun, always being the life of the party. If you knew her, you had to love her.
Bonita was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Junita Pickett, Mary Alice Myers, Vera L. Pickett, all of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Geraldine Robinson Godbolt of Atlanta, Georgia.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her only daughter, Crystal B. (Anthony) Wilson; one grandson, Narada Da’Shawn Pickett of Dayton, Florida; one brother, William Henry Pickett of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two sisters, Diane Hills Godbolt of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Sandra Godbolt of Patterson, New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bonita will truly be missed by everyone whom she made an impression on in life.
