Brittany's Story

Brittany Leigh Graves, age 35 of Greensboro, N.C. was born on December 25, 1987. She passed away at home in Loris, S.C. on October 4, 2023 joining her latest son Baby Jax in their eternal home.

Brittany moved to North Myrtle Beach, S.C. as a small child where she grew up. She met Dustin as a teenager and became a young mother with her first son Kameron. Since then, she devoted her life to her family to be the best mother she could possibly be. Brittany loved her family, friends, Dustin, and most importantly she loved and adored her 6 children.

Brittany was a stay-at-home mother who wouldn’t have traded this role for anything in the world. She also enjoyed doing hair, makeup, coloring, writing, music, and taking pictures of everything and everyone; especially selfies, and mostly just having fun.

She is survived by her fiancé, best friend, and forever partner Dustin William East and their 6 children, Kameron William East, Breanna Leigh East, Chyanne Gracie East, Justin Leevi East, Jordan Joseph (JoJo) Mark East, and Dallas (King) Jax East; her parents, William Keith Graves Sr., and Angelia Kay Smith; siblings, William Keith Graves Jr., Damien Graves, Kathrine (Ivey) Smith, and Taylor Graves; her in-laws, Susan East and Churista Graves and all of her 12 beloved nieces and nephews.

Britt, as she was lovingly known, had a smile and a sense of humor that would light up the whole room. She would always tell a joke to make everyone laugh, always say what was on her mind, stick up for the ones she loved and she would never give up on anyone, even if they gave up on her. She was the most positive and outgoing person who never showed discouragement or weakness. Brittany had a beautiful heart and a genuine soul. She was the ROCK of our family.

There will be a viewing from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.  Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Carter Cemetery, Loris, SC.
