Calvin C. Wineglass

Calvin Coolidge Wineglass 73, of Conway, South Carolina was born on October 27, 1946 to the late Frank Sr., and Evelyn Wineglass. Calvin passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from Renal Cancer.

Calvin was raised in the Grave Station Community of Georgetown, SC. He completed his formal education at Howard High School in Georgetown, SC where he graduated with the class of 1969. After he graduated high school, he joined the US Army where he became a master Brick Mason. Calvin worked for Edgar West for 15 years before he was diagnosed with cancer.

Calvin was a well-respected son, brother, father, grandfather, cousin and friend. He was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church since a child. Calvin was a proud father and grandfather who truly loved his family. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with loved ones, reading, and watching Western movies.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Randy (Dorothy) Wineglass, Frank Jr. (Mag) Wineglass and Ollie (Dorothy) Wineglass.

Calvin is survived by four daughters, Linda Pyatt and Brenda Brown both of Conway, SC., LaShay Wineglass-Williams of Daytona Beach, FL., and Teawine Wineglass-Christian of Kileen, TX, one son Calvin (Ann) Wineglass Jr., of San Antonio, TX., two brothers Larry (Diane) Wineglass of Alexandria, VA., and Ricky (Mariette) Wineglass of Georgetown, SC, one sister Catherine Wineglass-Drayton of Georgetown, SC., 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Calvin Wineglass of Conway passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday March 13, 2020 at the Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 14, 2020 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Conway. Burial will follow at  the Hemingway Chapel Cemetery. Ocean View funeral home Conway Chapel is in charge of the service.
