Carlos Peralta Roy Obituary

Carlos Peralta Roy, 38, passed away on November 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in 1986 in Lima, Peru, Carlos came to the United States when he was just eight years old. Even as a child, he was a beacon of light—full of energy, curiosity, and kindness. He and his sister spent countless hours playing outside, often getting into mischief, but always taking care of each other while their mother worked tirelessly to provide for them.

Carlos had a lifelong love for the circus, a fascination that began in his childhood. One of his proudest moments was finally getting to see the circus in Peru that he had always dreamed of attending. When he first arrived in America, he spoke no English and had to learn through trial and error, but his determination never wavered. That same drive carried him through high school and on to earn his bachelor’s degree from UNC Pembroke.

Family was everything to Carlos. He met the love of his life, Stephanie Hiland, in 2012, and together they built a beautiful life with their two daughters, Chelsea (9) and Lexie (6). Over the past decade, Carlos successfully owned and operated several restaurants, pouring his heart into every team he led. To him, his employees weren’t just coworkers—they were family.

Carlos could never walk into a room unnoticed; his bright smile, humor, and warmth drew people in instantly. He was funny, outgoing, kind, loyal, and full of life—the kind of person who made everyone feel seen and valued. He was everything you could wish for in a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be missed beyond words but never forgotten.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Stephanie; their daughters, Chelsea and Lexie; his mother, Gaby Roy; his father, William Peralta; his sisters, Karen Chuton (and her daughter, Natalie McKenzie), and Maria Peralta; his brothers, William, Jr. and Renato Peralta.

Carlos’ light will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched.
