Carlton Lenario Johns, Jr.

Carlton Lenario Johns, Jr. was born on May 25, I994 in Conway, South Carolina to Mary Bessant and Carlton Johns, Sr. He departed this earthly life on May 25, 2024.

He attended Horry County Public Schools and was a graduate of Conway High School in 20I2. "CJ", as he was affectionately called, was mostly known for being quiet, and cool. When you really got to know him, you would realize he was strong, compassionate, and looked out for others. Although CJ didn't have any children of his own, he leaves a huge legacy of love to his nieces and nephews who were eager to spend time with him. CJ went through a lot of trying times in his life, but he managed to overcome them the best way he knew how.

CJ was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred, Kewley, and Simmie.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Mary Bessant of Conway, South Carolina, and Carlton Johns, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his brother, Carlos of Conway, South Carolina; his sisters, Tyleshia, LaKetta, LaKesha, LaToya, and bonus sister, Carnesha; brother-in-law, Phillip; nephew, Amari; nieces, Desirae, Sharia, Tyla, Addison, MaKayla, and MaKya; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
