Carol A. Green

Carol was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Born on July 2, I962, Carol was the eldest child of the late Ervin Green and the late Letha James Green. She grew up in Conway, SC, and Brooklyn, NY, and embraced her role as the caring and devoted big sister to her siblings. She was also a very loving mother to her daughter, Tasha La-Dawn Green, who preceded her in death at a very young age.

Carol's early life was marked by her love for others, traits that carried through to adulthood and defined her compassionate spirit.

A dedicated professional, Carol pursued her education at Conway High School and devoted her life to work, family, and friends. Her determination and unwavering spirit earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues, family, and community.

Carol was a pillar of strength and a source of comfort for her family and friends, always offering a listening ear and a kind word. If she had it, you've got it.

Along with her parents and daughter, one brother, Michael Brown, and nephew, Calvin Reed preceded her in death.

She is survived by her siblings, Priscilla Brown, Betty Green, Corlane (Rodney) Reed, Gloria (Joyce) Washington, and Benjamin Green; nieces, Irene Green, Vanesa Reed, and Jasmine Green; nephews, Darrell Green, Talib Greene, Rodney Reed, and Alexander Reed; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends who will cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.

During her lifetime she gained a bonus family that she loved just like her own. Bonus brother, Rodney Grate and her bonus daughter, Jacqueline Love.

Carol Ann Green will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
