Mr. Controy LaFonze Burroughs ‘Troy’ was born on May 9, 1975 to the late Ruth Burroughs, he departed this life on Thursday, November 22, 2021.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, his grandparents and one brother, Jeffery Burroughs.

Troy was educated in the public school system of Horry County. He attended Salem AME Church and other churches in the community.

Troy was well known in the community as he never meet a stranger and would always give a helping hand where needed. He was employed by several different agencies over the years but his last employment was by Bonfire of Conway, SC.

Troy leaves to cherish his loving memories, a daughter, Brooklyn Robinson of Savannah, Ga.; three sisters; Lutricia Bellamy (James) of Conway, SC;  Quashanda Burroughs, and Sierra Burroughs of Bucksport, Sc; two brothers: Allen Burroughs and Davien Burroughs both of Conway, SC; his grandmother, Maggie Williams of Beaufort, SC;  six aunts; five Uncles; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.   Interment will follow in Bucksport Community Cemetery.
