“To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Daniel “Danny” Michael Myers, son of the late Sarah Elizabeth Myers Bellamy, was born on May 6, 1948, in the Bronx, New York. Danny gained his wings and took the Master’s hand early Saturday morning on February 15, 2025, and entered into eternal rest.
He accepted Christ at an early age upon moving from New York to take care of his mother and joined Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful member until his health failed. Danny was educated in the New York City School System. He worked many years for J. Rueben Long Detention Center as a cook until he retired in 2015. Danny was one who loved to cook for the homeless, neighbors, and friends in his “Sugar Hill” community. He also maintained the properties of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and McIver & Graham, P.A.
Danny was passionate about the way he dressed’ always “clean”, matching from head to toe. Whenever you came in contact with Danny, he would always say “Be Cool”, and “Thank God for another day.”
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Arthur Myers.
Danny leaves a lifetime of sweet memories to his son, Antoine Lydell Myers of New York; grandson, Elijah Edmonds of Georgia; goddaughter, Juvanté Mitchell, Jayce Dixon, and Myla Dixon; one aunt, Anna Cunningham of Georgetown; special family members who will cherish and miss him dearly, Sally Sarvis Garrett, James Edward Grant, Jakobe Grant, The Grant/Brown family, Mrs. Mary “Mother” Green family, Esther Clifton family, Michael Johnson and Bobby Moore; along with a host of other caring and loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
