Darius Michael Hemingway, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed Monday morning October 12th, 2020 at the age of 30. Darius’ passing is a misfortune for the entire Racepath Community. Darius has been a friend and mentor of many.
As a high school student Darius played guard for the Myrtle Beach Seahawks and helped the team win the 2008 State Championship. After graduating from high school Darius went on to receive his associate degree from Conners State College.
Darius had a knack for making other people feel special. With his laid-back demeanor, Darius inspired others to do well for themselves and others. Many throughout the community can attest to his generosity and love.
In short time Darius left a legacy to be carried on by many friends and family members. Darius leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. He was born to the union of Carolyn Hemingway (Mother) and the late Reverend Henry Hemingway Jr. (Father), Carrie Cole (Grandmother), (Sisters) Tara Chestnut, Yeneka Mills (Lamar), Carrie Hemingway, Mildred Sears, (Brothers) Akeem Hemingway, John Hemingway, Henry Hemingway III, William Hemingway (Schanski), Calvin Hemingway, (Uncles) Al Chestnut (Lanette), Eugene Chestnut, Myron Chestnut (Elveta), Ricky Chestnut, (Aunt) Betty Nichols, Vanessa Calhoun, Mary Francis, (Companion) Stephanie Wilson.
And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and Racepath Community.
Darius Michael Hemingway of the Racepath community in Myrtle Beach passed on October 12, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the Racepath Community Park, 290 Magnolia Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel is in charge of this service.
