Darvin Wilson was born September 20, 1962, in the Popular section of Horry County to the late Charlie James and Rudell C. Wilson. He departed this earthly life on June 28, 2021, at his residence.
Darvin attended schools in Horry County and graduated from North Myrtle Beach High. He joined Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and participated with many auxiliaries in the church. He loved to sing and was an active member of the "Willing Workers Choir". One of his favorite songs was "I had it hard; but I made it Over"
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: James Wilson and Charles Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters: Ceophia Lowery and Marilyn Smith of Longs, SC and Thelma (LaRue) Galloway of Conway, SC, Four brothers: Chilver (Lorraine) Wilson, Lynn Wilson both of Longs, SC, Louis (Sherry) Wilson of Baltimore, Maryland and Allen (Gracie) Wilson of Loris, SC, Three aunts: Ester (Rudolph) Johnson, Jean Chestnut and Dora Chestnut of Longs, SC, Three uncles: Donnell Galloway of New Jersey, Codell Bellamy of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Nathaniel Smith of Longs and a very special friend: Wayne Graham of Longs, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Darvin will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Darvin Wilson of Longs passed away at his residence. There will be a Homegoing service held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 2, 2021 at Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church in Longs, SC. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
