DAVID NATHANIEL GRANT JR,

David Nathaniel Grant Jr, known affectionately as " DJ", was born November 27, 2002, in Conway. SC, to Omeshia Thompson Grant and David Grant, Sr. He entered into eternal rest easily Wednesday morning, November I I, 2020, at home.

DJ, a quiet and humble spirit, was a senior at Myrtle Beach High School, Class of 2021. While he was quiet, those who knew him best observed his humorous side many times! DJ was a student indeed as reflected in his grades and attendance. He was employed at Friendly's and took his job seriously. From his childhood to his teenage years, the entire Grant family worshipped together at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

DJ enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, eating, playing video games, and being on his phone, watching football (Seattle Seahawks), and basketball (Houston Rockets).

DJ leaves a legacy of humbleness, love, and cherished memories to his parents: David Sr, and Omeshia; two little sisters whom he adored Aubrei and Morgan; a great-grandmother: Mrs. Shirlena Goings; two grandmothers and a grandfather: Nataline Grant and Joe and Cheryl Goings Brantley; ten aunts: Sharon,Tickeisha (William), Shanski, Emma Ann, Michelle, Soraeya, Sandra, Cierra, Kidria, and Jaye; eight uncles: Pastor Kevin (Ursula), Garth (Brenda), Dominic, Jeremiah, Mikal (Anya), Terrance, Brandon, and Desmond, a god-mother Seara, and one god-brother Nazaiah. and a host of extended family, cousins, and friends.

DJ was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Casey Thompson and Joseph Grant Jr., and one uncle Roy Grant.

David N. Grant, Jr. of Myrtle Beach passed November 11, 2020. There will be a graveside service held 2:00 p.m.Tuesday November 17, 2020 at the Pine Island Community Cemetary. Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel is in charge of this service.
