Don "Pecan" Jackson Burroughs

Don " Pecan" Jackson Burroughs of Conway passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. 

Don Burroughs was born in Conway, SC, the son of Geraldine Burroughs, and was raised by Will and Hattie Jackson of Saint Paul, SC.

He attended Whittemore High School, later joined the Job Corps for a period of time, and then joined the United States Navy. He moved to Chicago, Illinois, for many years, where he worked in construction a period of time, then came back to Conway, SC, where he became a commercial truck driver for the rest of his days.

He leaves to mourn one daughter, Renee Burroughs of Atlanta, GA, and one sister, Doris E. Burroughs of Baltimore, MD. He also leaves behind many family and friends, especially his Saint Paul, Homewood, and Allentown family

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.  Burial will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Florence National Cemetery.  There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.
