Durance Antwan McCray A.K.A. Block was born in Loris, SC to Karen "RETTA" McCray (Clint Green) and Eddie Lee Wilson on February 27, 1989. He went to high school at Loris High School and graduated in 2007. He went on to start his own business Elon Enterprises. Where he specialized in excavation and remodeling. He enjoyed shopping, traveling, and LA Lakers games.
Durance is preceded in death by his Wife, Erin Matthews, Maternal Grandmother Hattie Lee Bellamy, Paternal Grandmother Lucille Wilson and special friend Jamie "GOONK" Lewis. One aunt Margaret Ann Wilson.
Durance is survived by his seven children. Mother-in-law Temperance Jernigan Perez (Luis Perez). Three sisters Shemieka Dozier, Equilla McCray, and Aiesha Clark; Two brothers Eddie McCray (Lyn McCray), and Raheem McCray. Maternal uncle Delane McCray (Arlene McCray), and Terry McCray (Carole Ann McCray), Maternal aunt Delois Riggins, Sixteen Paternal aunts and uncles, nieces Quillasha McCray, Layla Johnson, Kayla Crawford, Christianna Dozier, Danicia Swann, and Cedriah Bellamy, Nephews Khamani Crawford, Avantae Dozier, Kavantae Dozier, Auston Bellamy, and Cedric Bellamy Jr., He also leaves to cherish special cousins; Shatara Soles, Cephria Pierce, Quinn McCray, Rayfeus Miller, Reggie Miller, Lechephus Pierce Jr., and Antonio McCray. Special friends; Ty Nuygen, Teddrick Livingston, Courtney Gause, and Rich. Special friend/sister Danika Swann and a host of great aunts, family and friends.
Durance McCray of Longs passed away on May 21, 2021. There will be a Home Going Celebration at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the North Strand Recreational Center 120 State Hwy 57 S, Little River, SC 29566. A viewing will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, May 31, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Ocean View Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Conway Chapel will be in charge of this service.
