Elihse Ikalap Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Elihse Padock Agrippa, our loving and devoted mother, auntie, and friend to all whose lives she touched on July 17, 2020, which is also the birthday of her oldest brother.

She left us while sleeping peacefully at her son's residence in Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was surrounded by her loved ones: son Gilbert Ikalap and his wife and children, daughter Adilihna Ikalap Ligor and her family, and her niece Sonsha Padock, who she helped raise.  After a long fight with diabetes and dementia, she left us at the age of 70.

Elihse was born in 1950 on a tiny atoll of Pingelap, one of the thousands of islands in Micronesia where the Challenger Deep is located. She was the firstborn child of Sammy and Marselihna Padock and was adopted by Sipwike and Anna Padock. All of these dear parents have predeceased her by death.

Elihse acquired her elementary education on Pingelap atoll and her high school education at Ohwa Christian School on Pohnpei, an island located 150 miles from Pingelap.  Shortly after finishing high school, she met and married her first husband, Kilier Ikalap.  The Lord blessed them with two loving wonderful children, Gilbert Ikalap and Adilihna Ikalap Ligor. Mr.  K. Ikalap passed away in 2003 and several years after his passing,  Elihse married Kintaro Agrippa, a relative of Mr. Ikalap.  Mr. Agrippa passed away in 2011 They didn't have any children. After that, her son Gilbert brought her and her daughter Adilihna from Pohnpei to the states in 2014?. Adilihna found the love of her life here.  These two loving children took care of her ever since her diabetes and dementia got worse until her passing.

Elihse lived a full life as a wonderful loving mother and homemaker.  She was like a mom to her younger siblings, nephews, and nieces.  She loved to cook, kept a clean, tidy cozy home, and was a highly skilled seamstress.  Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her son, daughter, and nephews and nieces that she loved the, dearly.

Elihse Ikalap of Myrtle Beach passed away Friday, July 17th, 2020.  There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (noon) Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Ocean View Funeral Home of Myrtle Beach.
