Esterlean F. Davis

September 2, 1944 ~ September 3, 2022 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Obituary

Esterlean Frink Davis was born September 2, 1944, to the late Archie Perry Frink & Christella (Goss) Frink Brown in Conway, South Carolina. She departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at her home.

She lived in Baltimore, Maryland for a short period of time in her youth but spent most of her younger years and all her adult years in the Pee Dee Community. She was educated in the Georgetown County School system.

She joined Trinity A.M.E. at an early age and loved the Lord. Esterlean was an active member of the church, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir.

For 29 years, she worked as a Teacher/Social Worker at Waccamaw EOC Head Start. Esterlean worked to help provide education access to many families in the Georgetown, Williamsburg, and Horry counties. Teaching wasn't just a job; it was something that she was very passionate about, and she loved being able to impart knowledge and give love to children.

[Text Box:] As an original member of the Pee Dee Community Project Committee, she was instrumental in establishing a community center and park. For many years, she served as a Poll Worker at the local polling station. She had a deep belief in the voting process.

Esterlean had a love for reading and the only sport she loved was baseball. Her favorite teams were the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She played softball with the community team and shared this pastime with her children and grandchildren. She kept her mind sharp by watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and College Bowl.

She is predeceased by her husband, James E. Davis; two daughters, Annette E. Frink and Cassandra M. Weaver; son, Baby Davis; sister, Mable Frink; maternal grandparents, Cornelious and Pauline Goss; paternal grandparents, George Perry Frink and Elnetta Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Penny R. Frink and Rosiland M. Frink; four sons, Antwaine D. Davis (Monica), Michael Davis (Cementhia), Roger Davis (Teresa), and Reginald Davis; three brothers; beloved brother, Perry C. Frink (Ruth), Lee Glenn, and Archie Glenn; one honorary daughter, Veronica Sowell McNeil and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
