Mrs. Fennie Mae Livingston, daughter of the late Joe Lewis and Melvina Lewis, was born November 25, 1933, in the Wampee Community. She departed this earthly life on July 22, 2025, at home.
Fennie attended Popular Training School and accepted Christ as her personal savior. She became a member of Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until her death. For many years, she devoted her services as an usher and a member of The Royal Court.
Throughout the years, Fennie Mae Livingston worked in many diverse forms of employment. She was a farmer, caregiver, homemaker, and a devoted mother and wife.
Fennie was married to the late James Leroy Livingston. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her twin children, Levon and Devon Livingston. Siblings, six brothers: Curtis, Gardener, Kaiser, Homer, Lee, and Doug Lewis; and six sisters: Annie Reese Hemingway, Theda Bell Pickett, Lydianna Ford, Mamie Lee Dewitt, Della Vereen, and Essie Bellamy.
Fennie leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to four daughters: Virginia Collier, Fannie Carolina, Phyllis Livingston, and Omelia Frinks, all of Longs. Four sons: James Livingston Jr. of Longs, SC, James Joseph (Pat) Livingston of Conway, SC, Taft Livingston of Loris, SC, and Ellis (Corolla) Livingston of Little River, SC. Twenty-three grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
