Floyd C. Gause

Floyd Carl Gause, affectionately known as “Knot,” was born in Conway, SC, to the late Elroy and Lula Belle Gause. Floyd made his transition on July 3, 2025, after battling a short illness.  

Floyd, the youngest of the Gause clan, was educated by the Horry County School District. Upon graduating from North Myrtle Beach High School, Knot enlisted in the United States Military. He toured several countries, including Germany, during his tenure. He served in the Army's weaponry department until his retirement. Knot settled in Trenton, NJ, with his family until he made his transition.  

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lula B Gause and Elroy Gause; his siblings, Charlie Gause, Martha Ann Vereen, Paul Gause, Calvin Gause, William Gause, Mageline Jolley, Nancy Patterson, Lula E. Cox (JT), Elijah Gause, Samuel Gause, and Barry Gause.  

Floyd leaves to cherish his memories his son, Marquis (Magdalena) Gause; his grandchildren, Bryson, Cody, Kayden, Teagan, Maci, and Mason Gause; brothers, David (Dawn) Gause, and James Gause; sisters, Betty Gause, Lucille Myers, Thelma Gause, Beverly Gause and Helen Gail Keel; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Knot, you left your mark on this family with your sarcastic humor and your love. Holidays and family reunions will be different without you, but there will be tons of food!!! You know that you can eat! The Gause women know how to cook, and the Gause men know how to eat! Uncle Knot, your job is done. You loved, you played, you worked, and now you rest.
