Frances Sharp Obituary

Frances Wilson Sharp was born September 15,1938 to the late Harrison Wilson, Sr. and Geneva Wilson. She was raised in Wampee, South Carolina, where she spent her childhood. Frances relocated to New York City after graduation from Chestnut High School in 1956 where she resided until God called her home.

Frances accepted Christ and was a member of St. Aloysius Church, she was a woman of faith and integrity and committed to serve God and others.

Frances was a RN for many years working in various hospitals until she retired from Manhattan State Hospital. She was a passionate woman and enjoyed traveling, reading, and volunteering at her local church. She was a member of the Praying Hands Ministry and Fellowship Committee of St. Aloysius. She volunteered with YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood escorting seniors to their appointments. She was a member and a senior advisor at NORC. Lastly she attended yearly retreats at the Loyola Jesuit Center of 15 years.

Frances took her final journey into eternal rest on January 7, 2021 . Her beautiful life and memory will forever be cherished by her children, Janice Ann Sharp Bellamy (Theron Sr) and Doniella Sharp who were devoted to her life in her final days. Frances was blessed with four siblings, Annie P. Wilson (who was devoted to her until her final rest) of New York City, Minnie L Lane preceded her in death, and her two brothers, Harrison Wilson, Jr., and Hazzorol L. Wilson preceded her in death. She leaves behind nine beautiful grandchildren, Talandra (Corey), Ingrid, Theron Jr. (Sonya), Maurice (Sydney), Shequila, Britany, Laquinn, Cinetra, and Maya; seven great grandchildren, Omari, Mikayla, Sheridan, Alana, Caitlyn, McKenzie, and Isabella. Frances also leaves to cherish her memory a host of other loving relatives and friends.

 

 

 

 

Frances Sharp formerly of Wampee passed on January 2, 2021 in NY, NY. There will be a graveside service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 21, 2021 at Livingston Cemetery, Highway 90 and Carries Lane Road, Longs, SC. Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel is in charge of this service.
