George (Skeet) Jones, Jr.

George Henry Jones, better known as Skeet of Conway, South Caroli­na, transitioned Monday, March 15, 2021, at his home with his wife, 2 daughters, & son-in-law at his side. He was born August 29, 1951, in Conway, South Carolina to George H Jones Sr. and Derotha Jones who preceded him in death.

George (Skeet) graduated from Whittemore High School in 1969 and afterward attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He worked and retired from AVX Corporation as an Industrial Produc­tion Engineer Manager.

George (Skeet) united in marriage to Evonne Jones' in 1971 and were blessed with 2 daughters, Latishia Wilks, and Shavonia Jones.

He leaves to cherish precious memories of his wife Evonne Jones, daughter Latishia Wilks (Zoe Wilks), and Shavonia Jones. Grandchil­dren; Deontre Wilks, Zion Hill-Wilks and Ayden Wilks. Siblings; Wilbur Bellamy (Frances), Insa Pressley (Raymond)-deceased, Pamela Jones, and Arthur T Jones (Rhonda). Nieces/Nephews; Onie Pressley, Ray­mond Pressley (Ranjilene), George Pressley (Tiffany), Kristen Jones and Arthur Jones II, Sister-In-law; Joyce Davis (Brian), Karen Hinson (Greg), Lynn Bledsoe (Clemmie) Followed by a host of Great nieces and neph­ews, cousins, friends and extended family.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday,  March 22, 2021, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens,  Conway.
