Georgie Edwina Glover

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good and his mercies endureth forever: Psalms 136

Georgie Edwina Glover whom was fondly called "Deana" was born to the late Reverend and Mrs. George E. Glover Sr. Three siblings preceded her in death; George Jr Elaine and Valerie Glover all of 7' Conway SC.

Georgie joined Salem AME Church at an early age, then traveling to various AME churches with her father the Rev. G.E. Glover.

After graduating from Conway High School she furthered her education at Horry Georgetown Technical College, majoring in busi­ness administration. She later met and married the father of her two sons Gregory (Anissa) Hemingway. She then went on to join the army, serving her country for four years and returning home to pursue her interests in helping students reach their goals at HGTC and raising her family.

She loved people of all nationality and gave 100% to her job and activities. She would also travel with students to various states and functions.

Georgie loved her boys Gregory and Jory. She was never to busy to talk to them and even went to see them in Georgia as her time permitted.

Her illness lasted 16 months until her untimely death. Her siblings Donna and Roslyn left no stone unturned in getting her care in their home. She was genuinely loved and cared for by family far and near

She leaves to cherish her loving sons Jory Hemingway and Gregory Hemingway both of Snellville, GA, five sisters Deborah (Roland) Brown, Donna Sherman and Roslyn Glover of the home, Kim Bethel of Centerville, GA, Larttha Taylor of Greenville, SC, two brothers Carey (Stephanie) Glover of Greenville, SC and William (Tosha) Glover of Columbia, SC, a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, students at HGTC friends and family. 

Georgie Edwina Glover of Conway passed on January 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held Sunday,  January 17, 2021, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Conway.  Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel is in charge of this service.
