Glennie Williams Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteousness judge, will give me
on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8

Ms. Glennie Marie Williams, daughter of the late Wilbur and Roberta Wilson Bellamy was born on January 4, 1950, and departed her earthly life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donnie Williams, one son Donnie Williams Jr, and four sisters: Berlene Bellamy, Christeen Bellamy, Verta Lee Bellamy, and Vercie Mae Bellamy.

Glennie's life was a collection of chapters that told a story of dedication, love, and kindness. She was the regal leader in our family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and caring for her family. She was self employed at Club 13 for over forty years where she worked diligently until her health failed. She was known for her wonderful personality, smile and her willingness to help others. She never meets a stranger. For all who were blessed to know her will be forever moved by her warmth and loving spirit.

Glennie was educated by Horry County Schools. At an early age, she joined Freemont Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health declined. She was a member of Waccamaw Chapter #210 Order of the Eastern Star.

Glennie leaves to cherish her memories of two daughters: Darlene Williams and Donella (Desmond) Patrick, and five sons: Brian (Amy) Williams, Danford (Lori) Williams, Adrain Williams, Don (Tiffany) Williams all of Longs, SC, and Reginald (Cheryl) Williams of Durham, NC. A special granddaughter: Chameka Williams, of Longs, SC. A bonus son: Brendon (Tausheedah) Bellamy. Twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild. One brother Leo (Lisa) Bellamy, four sisters: Flora Cox, Bertha Hypolite, Earline Woodard all of Longs, SC, and Getha (Johnny) Wilson of Conway, SC. Three sisters-in-law: Alean (Joe) Claridy, Victoria Parker, and Ernestine Williams. Seven brothers-in-law: Ronnie (Mary) McCray, Leon (Pauline) Williams, Bruce (Lisa) Williams, Lent Williams, Aaron (Shirley) Williams, Ulysses Williams, and Joey (Caronica) Williams. Three aunts: Mary Ellen Wilson, Lorraine Wilson, and Mattie Bell Bellamy.
