Gregory Daniels

Gregory Daniels, formerly of Myrtle Beach passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2024, in Anchorage. Alaska. 

Gregory was born February 10, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois to Gregory Smith and Lucy Daniels.

Gregory Bernard Daniels was educated in Myrtle Beach, SC in Horry County. He dedicated his Life Outreach Ministries in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Greg loved working and taking care of his beloved children Oreyah Daniels and Jahaziel Carter of Anchorage, Alaska. These children were the best part of his life. They kept him going every day.

Greg's passion was cooking for those he loved. Being in the kitchen so everyone could enjoy his food gave him great pleasure. He had such a passion for cooking that he became the proud owner of a restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska called Last Call Grill & Delivery. This restaurant allowed him to make headlines as the first Black Business Owner in Anchorage, Alaska. Greg was affectionately known for his smile, laughter, love of others, unique fashion sense, and sensational style.

On August 23rd, 2024, Gregory returned to his heavenly home with those who preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lee Ellis and Dora Daniels, Ivory and Clara Smith, and his loving brother Andre Laron Daniels.

Greg leaves fond and loving memories that will be cherished by his children Oreyah Daniels and Jahaziel Carter. His parents are Gregory Smith and Lucy Daniels. His loyal and devoted siblings Rena (Jay) Simmons of Dallas, TX, Tekesha Daniels of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nikita, Lance, and Alex Smith of Iowa. Three special nephews: Deontae Simmons, Damion Frazier, and Andre Daniels. Three loving nieces Nikara, Alysia, and Andrea. One great nephew Christian Sherman. Three aunts Barbara (Shelton) Hytower, Alice (Timothy) Alston, and Charlotte Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC. Two uncles Johnny (Courtnie) Daniels, and Terrance Daniels of Marianna, AR. A loving cousin Flora Parker. Two devoted and special friends that he loved dearly Elvis Bellamy and Yen Simmons and a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
