Gregory Faulkner Obituary

Gregory Lee Faulkner affectionately known as “Unk or Faulk” departed this life on the evening of December 2, 2022, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Gregory was born on November 16, 1958, in Jessamine County to the late Theola Robertson and Bessie Mae Thomas.

Gregory was a graduate of Bryan Station High School class of 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was Head Chef in the First Calvary Division Fort Hood, Texas. During his service he obtained many medals including a Bronze Star and a Liberation of Kuwait Desert Storm medal, and achievements.

Gregory will be remembered for his sense of humor, bright smile and smooth dance moves. He had a love for cars, modeled cars, cooking, and listening to music of many genres. He was always the life of the party. He had a big heart for family and friends and enjoyed sharing his stories of his tenure while in the Military. He was a head line cook at various restaurants after his discharge from the military.

Gregory relocated to South Carolina in 2016 and joined Lambs of Christ where he participated many capacities until his death. He was Top Chef of Love Our Cooking Food Truck with Lambs of Christ. He worked at Carolina Ale House in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Gregory was preceded in death by his wife Angela D. Faulkner-Williams, brother Steven D. Thomas, and son Raymar Webb. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his father Wilbur Thomas (Elizabeth), four siblings: his brother Michael Thomas of New Albany, Indiana, his sisters Dr. Vanessa Sessions (Wade) of Conway, SC., LaDonna Locke, Marian Carpenter, Sister-in-law Leinetta Thomas all of Lexington, Kentucky.

Children Nakisha Frazier (Lemont) of Conway, SC; Gregory Faulkner, Jr.; Antwon Faulkner both of Lexington, KY.; Angel Faulkner of Atlanta, Georgia; Annjoiya Faulkner of Lexington, KY.; Tomika Faulkner, Marcus Faulkner, Marice Faulkner all of Thailand, Carita Webb, Kontessa Webb, Raymara Webb, daughter in love Ieshia Banks, Dajour Hall, and Zey Hall all of Lexington, Kentucky.

Two aunts:  Mattie (Marvin) Robertson, and Flossie Faulkner. Two Special friends: Gregory James and Victor Sewell. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and loving friends.

 

 

 

Gregory Lee Faulkner of Myrtle Beach passed on December 02, 2022. There will be a viewing held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2022 at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
