Henry Ricky Hemingway, III

Henry Ricky Hemingway, III of Myrtle Beach passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023.

"Let love and faithfulness, never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart" — Proverbs 3: 3-4

On May I, I957, a warrior was born to the late Sarah Hanna Caldwell and the late Henry Hemingway, II in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Henry Ricky Hemingway III surrendered to the battle as God called him home on Monday, September 4, 2023.

He attended Myrtle Beach High School where he and Michael Brown became legends and lifelong best friends. He later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where learned the art of stucco and construction starting up his very own legacy that spread all the way back to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he laid his abundance of knowledge upon many. Henry was a very loving man, to know him was to love him. Whether you knew him as "Fat Belly", "Kaboog", "Slick", "Rick" or "Daddy", you received unconditional love.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Hanna Caldwell and Henry Hemingway, II; his step-father, Albert Caldwell; his sisters, Constance Hemingway, Carrie Hemingway, and Linda McNeil; his brothers Leon Hemingway and Darius Hemingway, and a daughter, Nigeria McDonald.

Henry leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to ten children, Ricky Richardson, Antwan Samuels, Niki Flowers, Korrie Moore, Gabrielle Hemingway, Shulammite Cox, Constance Hemingway, Sarah Hemingway, Rickyia Hemingway, and Ricky Hemingway; six siblings, Mildred Spivey, John Hemingway, Calvin Hemingway, William Hemingway, Yeneka Mills and Akeem Hemingway; and step-mother, Carolyn Hemingway.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, September 11, 2023, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.  There will be a viewing from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
