Ida Bell Wilson was born to Coleman and Rachel Robinson on October 17, 1933 in Galivants Ferry.
Ida Bell departed this life on January 18, 2021 at Grand Strand Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Both parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, Her late husband Johnny Wilson, 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild preceded her in death.
Ida Bell attended school in Marion County. She was a devoted employee of the hospitality industry along the Grand Strand area.
Ida Bell was a member of Mt. Olive AME church where she served as a Mother of the church and on the Senior Missionary Board. She was actively involved in her community's outreach ministry. Ida Bell was known for giving to those in need, those known and unknown, home and abroad.
Ida Bell leaves to cherish her loving legacy and memories; 5 daughters: Barbara Small (Kirby), Edna Gause (late Chapelle), Norma Spivey (Franklin) Markita Smith (Aerris) and Shirley Simmons (Tyrone). She leaves 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. A special niece; Brenda Davis, a neighboring best friend of over 50 years; Mrs.Rebecca Lewis, two caregivers, Ms. Breanna and Ms. LeAnn, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Ida Bell Wilson of Myrtle Beach passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. There will be a graveside service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 23, 2021 at Pine Island Cemetery. Ocean View Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach Chapel is in charge of this service.
