Isiah "Zabo" Chestnut of Myrtle Beach passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Isiah Armond Chestnut’s loving spirit was released into the Heavens on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the young age of thirty-two years old. This Amazing young man was born April 17, 1992, and was the son of Ervin Chestnut and Gale Palmer.
Isiah was known for his contagious laughter, everlasting smile, and passion for helping others, but more than anything, Isiah who all affectionately called “Zabo” was a devoted father. Isiah was a student at Myrtle Beach High School, where he played football for several years, and shined on the field as he helped lead the team to a State Championship.
Isiah was devoted to his work at Global Green and BBI Landscaping for many years. He enjoyed cooking, attending family events, and spending time with his daughter. All who were blessed to have known him are forever moved by his warmth and loving spirit. Isiah’s life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the impact one person can have on those who were around him. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
Isiah was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mae and Emanuel Chestnut; his aunts, Sara Chestnut, and Emily Washington; his uncles, Samuel Chestnut, George Washington, Elmer Pettis, and Elijah Moore.
To cherish his memory he leaves one amazing daughter, Gabriella Chestnut (Denise, her loving mother) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandparents, Pearlie Mae Alston of Pawleys Island, SC, Oather (Delores) Alston, Jr. of Lodi, NJ; his siblings, Tashika Alston and Brian Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC; eleven aunts, Suzette (Timmy) Thomas, Loria (Ray) Alston of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lisa (Chris) Sparkman of Murrells Inlet, SC, Lekevia (Matt) Alston of Pawleys Island, SC, Teresa (Gerald) Jones of Charleston, SC, Tilithia Conyers of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kasha (Cosmo) Scudiero of New York, Marie Dentson of Florida, Bertha (Rickie) Sherman, Sr. of Conway, SC, Mary Pettis of Atlanta, GA, and Ella Mae Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC; five uncles, Emanuel Chestnut, Jr. (Deborah) of Suffolk, VA, Glen Alston, Damien (Melanie) Alston of Murrells Inlet, SC; Jermaine Alston of Greenwood, SC, and James Frazier, Jr. (Gail) of Brooklyn, NY; three nephews, Quran, Noah, and Caleb Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; along with a host of loving relatives, a dear friend Dallas Conner and several friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Miracle Tabernacle Church. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
