James “Greg” Blair, 68, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 14, 1957, Greg lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to those he held dear.

A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Greg carried his Buckeye spirit with him wherever he went. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—listening to music on the beach, sharing time with his wife, and creating lasting memories with his family.

Greg was known for his kindness, humor, and generous heart. He had a remarkable way of making others feel valued and welcomed, bringing light and laughter into every room he entered. Above all, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dana Blair; his children, Cassi Blair, Katie (Tyler) Branham, Taylor Blair, and Tiffany Buckley; his grandchildren, Gauge, Noah, Corbin, River, and Layla; his sister, Lea Ann Blair; and nieces, Lindy Blair and Rachel Staley. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, A.Lee Blair and James Coy Blair.

Greg’s legacy endures in the love he gave, the laughter he inspired, and the deep pride he felt in his family and his Buckeye roots. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at a later date.
