Mr. James F. Moses passed away Sunday, Resurrection Day at 11: 58pm in the comfort of his home surrounded by his daughter and son in Conway, South Carolina.
Mr. James Moses was born November 10, 1937 in Conway, he was the son of the late Joe Moses and Lessie Hemingway of Conway, SC.
Preceded him in death, 4 siblings, Charles Moses, Helen Owens, Thelma Moses and Edna Evans.
James “Bubba” as he was affectionally known by his family, attended school in the Horry County school district. He later moved to New York City and worked for more then 30 years as a Nurse’s Aide for Creedmoor State Hospital in New York until his retirement.
After retirement, James became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church and Browns Chapel where he worshiped until his passing. He loved to farm, gifting others with his home-grown vegetables and helped as many people in the community that he could.
He had 3 lifelong friends that also farmed with him. These friends will especially miss him, his family buddies, TJ Johnson, Sam Johnson, and Johnnie Brown; he cherished their friendship.
James Franklin Moses is survived by his children, James R. Moses of California and Melissa Moses of Conway, SC, his brothers Wendell Moses of Conway, SC, and Mickey Moses of New York, one sister Sue Mercer of Conway, SC, eight grandchildren, elven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
James Moses, 82 of the Bucksville Community passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020. There will be a private graveside service 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 16, 2020 at the Marlow Branch Cemetery in the Bucksville Community in Conway. Ocean View Funeral Fome Conway Chapel is in charge of the service.
