James Harold Simmons

MR. JAMES HAROLD SIMMONS {68} was born on November 25, 1951 to the late John Mark and Maddie Dennison-Simmons. He passed on Saturday, January 04, 2020 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. James attended North Myrtle Beach High School. He worked at Surf Beach Club, Thunder Bird, and Beachwood Golf Club. He was also employed by many businesses as a handyman and maintenance worker on Atlantic Beach, SC. He was a member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. James loved to work with his hands, listen to music, dance, color, fish and go riding. He never met a stranger. He was iconic for his dance moves. James is survived by six {6} sisters: Patricia {Bird} Burgess of Myrtle Beach, SC, Stephanie Simmons, Bobby Ortiz, and Louvenia {Roy} Graham all of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce {Jackie} Robinson of Little River, SC and Pam {Michael} Wilson of Hopewell, VA; one {1} brother: Charles "Man" Simmons of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one {1} aunt: Leefoia Simmons of Charlotte, NC; stepmother: Rose Stanley of North Myrtle Beach, SC and many other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 9th, 2020 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
