James (Fat Cat) Adam White, 60 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on November 5th in Florence, SC.
James was born December 17, 1961 to the late Johnny and Margret White, was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Blake, Robert Blake and his son Anthony James Grissett. He is survived by his Sisters Lelia Kent, Charlotte NC, Shirley Ann (Earl) Wright, Myrtle Beach, SC, John White, Myrtle Beach, SC, and his four daughters Jamie (Carlos) Heyward, Columbia, SC, Angela (Ricky Jr.) Myers, Burgess, SC, Sabrina Marion, East Orange, NJ and Shonquilla Ward, Conway, SC. James leaves behind four grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
James attended Horry County Schools. Early in life he worked as a brick mason. He was also an athlete, playing both basketball and baseball in high school. Basketball was his favorite sport. He was known for his spontaneous personality, kind spirit, and big heart. James was a giver. He would help anyone rather he knew you or not. He like to see everyone happy. He loved family, his community, and sports. His grandkids was his heart. James was a believer in God. He loved the Lord and prayed daily.
James "Fat Cat" White passed away on November 5, 2022. There will be a viewing held on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Pine Island Community Cemetery.
