Ja’Mir’s Journey
Ja’Mir Sincere Johnson, the only son of Brittany Johnson and Billy Freshley began his life’s journey on January 17, 2006, in Conway, South Carolina. Ja’Mir, affectionately called “Mir” or “Drip” by family and friends, departed this life on February 1, 2024.
Ja’Mir was a senior at Carolina Forest High School, an aspiring musician, and a loving and loyal son. He will be remembered most for being a bright star in sometimes dark places. From birth until his passing, the whole community acknowledged that Ja’Mir was a very special individual. He was a symbol of hope and freedom for all who encountered him. Ja’Mir was preceded in death by his grandmother, Angela Swinton; his great grandmothers, Burnie Johnson and Mary Love; great grandfather, Larry Pyatt; and uncle, Christian Watson.
He leaves behind to hold onto his spirit, an adoring mother, Brittany Johnson and father, Billy Freshley; his grandfather, Levern Johnson, and the Johnson family; grandmothers, Marilyn Pyatt and the Pyatt family, Yolanda Brown and the Brown family, and Sharon LeBlanc; uncles, Michael Pyatt, Dominic Johnson, Donovan Johnson, Devon Brown, Marcus Brown, Creighton Simmons and Tommie Bethea; aunts, Shavonna Pyatt, Ashley Brown and Shalonda Brown; godmothers, LaQuantra and LaQuaysia Moses; cousins, Jayden, Phelix, Damoni, Dominic Jr, Demari, Kimbrelle, Semaj, Promise, Lamarcus, Devonte, Trinity, Aiden and Kayden; special friends, Dream Parmley Moses, Jason, Maleya, Tan’drea McCray, Marcus and Anthony Pyatt, Tammy and Tamela Pyatt, Deandre and Davonte Onley, Kasaun Blakely, Jyrine Hickman, Justice Bright, Trevarre Polite, Michale Beaty Jr., Amari Hemingway, Tahbleek Herriot, and Trevarre Gamble.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
We deeply appreciate your kind words of sympathy and passion. We encourage you all to love one another, not just family. Just love. For Jesus said, there is no greater love than a man laying down his life for his friends. For Jesus loved and said I go and prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come
again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. Just love. May GOD Bless All!
