Jesse Frierson, IV

Jesse "Roc" Frierson IV was born on June 2, 1974 to Jesse Frierson III and Wanda Frierson-Neal on Andrews AFB, Washington, DC. He departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Conway Medical Center after a valiant fight with cancer.

Roc, as he was lovingly known, was a 1993 graduate of Conway High School and went on to play football at North Greenville University. After college, he continued his love for football by creating and becoming CEO of both the Carolina Predators and Palmetto Havoc Semi Professional Football teams, where he was highly respected by his peers, players and teammates. He held many professions but he excelled with his work with at risk youth in group homes.

Roc accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptised at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Lee Frierson and his uncle Sammy Lee Frierson.

Roc leaves to cherish his fond memories: His parents; Jesse Frierson III (Inithia) of Bowie, MD and Wanda Frierson-Neal (Neal) of Tampa, FL. His grandparents, Jesse Frierson II and Eartha Clea (Al) of Sumter, SC. His fiance: Pshanda Pugh of Conway, SC: two children; Zion Frierson-Morris and Zoie Frierson of Conway, SC: a brother, Christopher Frierson of Charleston, SC three sisters; Kimberly Frierson of Ruskin, FL, Courtney Kinlaw of Orlando, FL, and Shauna Frierson of Richmond, VA. one uncle, Charles Washington ('fun) of Canton, GA. Two aunts Patricia Brown and Reva Frierson both of Sumter, SC. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him.

Jesse Frierson IV passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Conway Medical Center.  A Private graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday April 24, 2020 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
