Jessica Lynn McGee

Jessica Lynn McGee, 49, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, after a courageous five-year battle with leukemia.

Born on March 4, 1977, Jessica lived a life defined by faith, compassion, resilience, and an unwavering love for others. A true warrior, she faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and trust in God. Even during her illness, she remained a source of hope and encouragement, always putting others before herself.

Jessica fulfilled her dream of living by the ocean, where she found peace in the beauty of the sea, turquoise skies, and rainbows that reminded her of God's promises. Throughout her career in financial services and hospitality, she touched countless lives with her warm smile, generous spirit, and genuine care for others. Her kindness, optimism, and ability to make people feel welcomed and valued left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A passionate advocate for fellow cancer patients, Jessica believed deeply in paying forward the love and support she received throughout her journey. She also had a special love for animals, especially her beloved rabbits, Starlight Sunday and Miss Ella Bella, who brought her endless joy.

Jessica is lovingly survived by her husband, Willie McGee; her mother, Mary Shrader (Sunday); her father, Ronald Leonard; her sister, Carly Bentley; her brother-in-law, Steven Bentley; and many cherished family members and friends, and her stepfather (late), Anthony Shrader

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jin Li Dong, Dr. Gretchen Meyer, Dr. Alexander Coltoff, and the many nurses, caregivers, family members, and friends whose compassion, support, and dedication meant so much throughout Jessica's journey.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jessica's life on June 20, 2026, at Annunciation BVM Parish. A Rosary will be prayed from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed immediately by Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hoppy Hearts SC Rabbit Rescue, a cause that was especially dear to Jessica's heart. Donations may be made online at www.hoppyheartssc.org or by contacting the rescue at hoppyheartssc@gmail.com.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of faith, kindness, courage, and love will live on in all who knew her.
