Johnnie Mae Bryant Bellamy

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Bryant Bellamy “MaeMae”, daughter of the late John Gore and Ellenor Bryant, God saw she was getting tired and called her into eternal rest early Sunday morning on April 18, 2021.
Johnnie Mae accepted Christ at an early age and attended Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later years moved her membership to Greater St. James A.M.E. Church. She sang faithfully with the Spiritual Voices until her health began to decline. Her favorite song was “Calling Jesus My Rock”!
She attended the public schools of Horry County. She was a faithful housewife and mother.
She was joined in marriage to the late M. Alphonza Bellamy, Sr and with this union, three children were born. One preceded her in death, Gaytrell Tremaine Bellamy.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son Alphonza (Sabrina) Bellamy, Jr. of Ruffin, NC and daughter Sonya Bellamy of Conway, SC; Four grandchildren: Terell Bellamy of Reidsville, NC preceded her in death, David Cox of Conway, SC, Josiah Bellamy of Ruffin, NC, and Markel Brantley of Conway, SC; one great-grandson Kaleb Bellamy of Reidsville, NC; Five half-sisters: Diane (Melvin) Mack, Hilda (Troy) Giles, Eva Mac (John) Livingston, Rose (Issac) Gore, and Priscilla McCray; Five half-brothers: Elijah (Nancy) Gore, Frederick & Cedric Gore preceded her in death, Lenwood (Jean) Gore, Rudolph (Frances) Gore, and Eddie Gore; Three sisters-in-law: Roberta, Tammy, and Geneve Bellamy; four brother-in-laws: Jerome, Marshall, Calvin, and Rodney Bellamy; one aunt, Mrs. Myrtle Pernel of Conway, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Greater St. James AME Church Cemetery in Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is assisting the Bellamy Family.
