Johnnie Mae Bridges

Ms. Johnnie Mae Bellamy Bridges, age 82, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. She was born on March 18, 1943, in Conway, South Carolina, to the late Elease Bellamy.

Mrs. Bridges was a devoted member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, where she faithfully served on the Missionary Committee and remained actively involved in church life. She loved her church family and took great joy in serving others through her faith.

Before retiring, Mrs. Bridges worked as a butcher. She was known for her hardworking spirit, warm heart, and deep love for her family. She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

She was blessed to have a New Orleans, Louisiana family for several decades that included many members of the New Creations Baptist Church who cared for her deeply.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Ulysses Bellamy.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Carlton (Darlene)  Bridges, Gary (Domenica),  Bridges and Atelice Bridges; her grandchildren, Kristian, Ryan, Tare, Gabrielle, Caron, and Gary Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Ariana, Marcus, Maddox, Mason, Reagan, Rylan, Remy, and Suriyah; her siblings, Beatrice Bellamy, Louisa Bellamy, William Lee Bellamy, and Hubert Bellamy; two aunts, Hazel Spruill and Estelle Johnson; and her close and devoted friends, Loubell Ford, Carolyn Smith, Annie Hunt, and Rhonda Weaver; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Ms. Bridges will be remembered for her faith, her love for her family, and the kindness she shared with everyone who knew her.
