Joseph Sarokas Jr., 82, widower of his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Sarokas. He is survived by his dear brother Richard Sarokas and his wife Marylyn, and his dear sister Patricia Dippel and her husband Donald Dippel.
He was a beloved father of Christine Salaterski and her husband, Paul Salaterski, and daughter Stacy Sarokas. Beloved Grandfather of Alivia Elliott and Rosalia Alvelo. Beloved great-grandfather of Leo Figueroa. Uncle to many loved nieces and nephews.
A veteran of the US Army. Former Prudential Ins. Co. Underwriter supervisor, former mailman for the US Post Office, and former toll collector for the AC expressway.
He retired from three careers.
Joe will be missed by everyone who knew him. He loved all people and loved life. Born in Scranton, PA, lived his life mostly in NJ and migrated along with his wife to live with his eldest daughter and her husband, Paul, in Myrtle Beach, SC. The family mourns in private at this time.
