Juanita G. Holoman

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

On November 2, 2021, the angel of death appeared into the room of Juanita G. Holoman and said, "Come with me I have a home for you not made by hands but eternal in the heavens".

Mrs. Juanita G. Holoman was born on September 30, 1922 in Sumter County SC, to the late Alex and Elizabeth Holoman. To this union two children were born. One child preceded her in death, Nathaniel (Celia Gass Spain) Gass Jr.

Mrs. Holoman wore many hats in her lifetime. She was a nurse, beautician, and an educator. Mrs. Holoman attended Sumter County Schools and she was a graduate of Morris College in Sumter SC. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and her family.

Mrs. Holoman gave her life to Christ and joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Bishopville SC. In her latter years, she moved from Sumter to Myrtle Beach, SC 11 years ago. She then joined Shields Chapel FBH Church where she was elected to the Motherboard, and she was the District Mother where she remained a faithful servant until her departure.

She leaves to cherish her memories: One loving daughter of the home, Mrs. Ronetta (Jimmy) Washington, of Myrtle Beach SC; Four grandchildren: Andrena (Roderick) Baker of Myrtle Beach SC, Tiara Washington, of Myrtle Beach SC, Latorsha (Rick) Myers, Of Myrtle Beach SC, Woodrow (Carla) Spain, of Creedmore NC; A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  And a special recognition to her granddaughter, Tiara Washington, whom was her devoted caretaker. Mrs. Holoman always looked forward to seeing her granddaughter and her great granddaughter little miss Truth, whom she shared many precious memories.

Mother Holoman had many special sayings that she loved to say: "Have Mercy My father ", "99 and half won't do (She certainly made her 100 on the other side of Glory", and it is Well with her soul!

Juanita G. Holoman of Myrtle Beach passed away on November 2, 2021. There will be a viewing held Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at  Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Shields Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at Pine Island Community Cemetery.
