Mr. Kenneth Graves, Jr., lovingly known as King, was born in Marion, South Carolina, on June 14, 1954, to the proud parents of Kenneth Graves, Sr. and Martha Davis, both of whom has preceded him in death. King has gone on to join his brother, Gene Woodbury and his sister, Shirley Williams, also both of whom has preceded him in death.
King was raised in Newark, N.J., and there he began his amateur boxing career. He became a Golden Glove Boxer. In later years, the family would relocate to Gresham, S.C.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: two sons, Kenneth Myers of Georgetown, S.C. and Kenneth (Kimaysh) Green of Conway, S.C., four granddaughters: Abigail Myers, Kennyah Green, Kenche Green, A’Niye Moultrie, and one grandson, Kayveon Spain. He also leaves an uncle, James Bacchus of Gresham, S.C., as well as the mothers of his children, Helen Myers of Georgetown, S.C. and Gertrude Green, of Conway, S.C., and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.
Kenneth Graves of Conway passed on June 21, 2021. There will be a funeral service held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. A viewing will be held an hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel will be assisting this family.
