Kevin Gagum of Conway passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Columbus, GA.
Kevin Gagum was born on January 18, I967 to the late Icea Lee Pino Gagum and the late James Judge, Jr. He was called home to be with his savior on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia.
Kevin, who was affectionately called "Lump or KG" by those who loved him, grew up in the Bucksport Community of Conway, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Horry County and graduated with the Class of I985. He worked at Bojangles for 18 years. Kevin had a heart the size of Texas and was known for being a wonderful person who loved people, especially his family and friends. Hunting, fishing, and making the world's best biscuits were some of his favorite pastimes. But most of all, he was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Kevin was loved by his nieces and nephews and he enjoyed spending time with them, teaching them how to hunt and fish. He mentored and encouraged them and was more than an uncle, he was a father and a friend. He really loved to spoil his nieces.
Kevin was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Sylvester Gagum and James C. Gagum, Jr.; one sister, Doris A. Van Dunk; two nephews, Maurice Bates-Brown and James O. Miller, Jr.; and one great nephew who stuck with him like glue, Cartez A. Lipscomb.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories two sisters, Sylvania G. DeLoach who was his caregiver, and Mary D. Gagum (James) Brown; one brother, Jimmy D. (Robin) Gagum, Sr.; three nieces, Alisa LaTonia (Claude) Lipscomb, who was also his caregiver, Kiahtae Nyree Gagum and Davonda Howard; nine nephews, Michael (Lisa) DeLoach, Ladalvin A. Miller, Dominick Artis, Patrick Gause Gagum, James Earl Gagum, James Walter Brown, III, Manquel Brantley Gagum, James Charles Gagum, III, and Jimmy D. Gagum, Jr.; two aunts, Mrs. Aline Floyd whom he loved dearly, and Mrs. Lottie A. Carr; his foster brothers who meant the world to him, Keith Skinner, David (April) Conner, Ben Jackson, Tim Garner, Benjamin (Yvette) Bellamy, Tyrone (Cokey) Scott, Demial Sadler, Michael Conner, Edward Smalls, Perry (Regina) McDonald, and a host of great nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends.
