Kevin Maurice McKenith of Coll Spring, SC was born in Newark, NJ on July 8, 1971 to the late Issac Upchurch and Irma Jean McKenith. He attended Horry County public school system and was a graduate from Aynor High school in 1989. At an early age Kevin joined St. Matthews Baptist Church.
In the year of 1990 Kevin was united in Holy Matrimony to Tamara “Tammy” Joe Harden who proceeded him in death. To this union one child was born Joshua Sebastian McKenith. Kevin later had a daughter Mrs. NüKara Cheyenne McKenith with Mollie Aziza EL-Deeb .
Kevin received an Honorable discharge from the United States Navy.
Kevin was a loving and fun character. Whenever he would introduce himself, he would say “I’m Barefoot baby!” Most knew him as Barefoot. Kevin (Barefoot) was always helping people with their vehicles and no matter where you saw him if the weather allowed it he was barefoot.
He leaves to mourn a wonderful mother with a heart of gold Irma Jean McKenith, one son Joshua McKenith, one daughter NüKara McKenith, four grandchildren, two brothers Charles McKenith and Dwyonne Towns, one sister Zakiyyah Jobes two uncles Samuel McKenith and Shaddy Stanly Anderson, four aunts Helen Anderson of Newark, NJ, Rosa of Georgetown, Heorra of Cool Spring and Coramae of Newark, NJ and a host of cousins other family relatives and friends.
Kevin McKenith of Conway passed on September 26, 2022. There will be a viewing held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday October 2, 2022 at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. There will be a funeral service held 6:00 p.m. Monday October 3, 2022 at Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
