Koretha Johnson of Myrtle Beach passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2021.

Our beloved daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, in-law, and friend, Koretha Patrice Johnson affectionately known as "KoKo" or "KJ" was born on December 22, 1980, in Myrtle Beach, SC to Mrs. Dionne Alston and Jessie Grissett.
On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, "KJ" transitioned from her earthly labor to obtain her reward in Heaven.
KJ had a love for basketball her entire life. KJ" was known as a beast on and off the court. She excelled at basketball in high school then went on to play at Howard College, Big Springs Texas, culminating with a Basketball scholarship at the University of South Carolina. While at USC she received her Bachelors of Science in Hospitality.
"KJ" worked in the Hospitably Industry in the Myrtle Beach area until her health failed.
KJ" loved to sing and dance and nothing delighted her more than making people laugh... she was a real comedian.
KJ" leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Dionne(Earl) Alston; Father Jessie Grissett; three {3} sons, JaQuan Chestnut, Brian Penny Jr. and Ashton Johnson all of Myrtle Beach, SC; four {4} brothers, Derrick Johnson of Clear Water, FL, Lazilo Johnson, Jessie Jefferson and Anthony Gramp Evans all of Myrtle Beach, SC; five {5} sisters, Octavia Johnson of Myrtle Beach SC, Nikki Johnson and Acquindolyn Jefferson of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sallyann(Edwin) Golson of Charlotte, NC, Ceria Johnson West Palm Beach, FL. A host of Aunts, Uncles, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
