Lakivia Bellamy of Myrtle Beach passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Lakivia Rochelle Bellamy was born on November 24, 1980, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2024. She was the youngest daughter of Denise Wright and the late William Nesbit.
Lakivia was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and was an active member of Shield’s Chapel FBH Church singing in the choir. After graduating high school, Lakivia moved to Georgia and studied at Strayer University and the American Intercontinental University of Atlanta, receiving a Masters in Public Administration and earning a degree in Health Care. She put her Master’s degree to use by working for Ciba Vision for 13 years.
Lakivia leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Tiaya Bellamy of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Kaden Peeples of Atlanta, Georgia; her mother, Denise Wright of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight siblings, William Nesbit, Jr. of Norfolk, Virginia, Vincent Nesbit of Charlotte, North Carolina, Joseph (Marguita) Bellamy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Reginald Bellamy of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Bridget Nesbit of Charlotte, North Carolina, Razzaq Baderinwa of Charlotte, North Carolina, Tiffany Legette of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Derek Bellamy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Pine Island Community Cemetery. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.
